Parents Association Overview

The Role of the Parents Association

It is an independent registered charity run by parental volunteers primarily to set up and enrich the children’s educational experience at the Blue School.  The charity raises money to fund different projects and purchase items for our children within and around the school.

Items that the PA paid for in the last year included

-       Supplies for setting up a new art room
-       Contributions towards school trips and clubs
-       IT education packages for the children.

The school and the PA Committee are committed to working together closely in 2017 to identify some new fundraising goals for the short medium and long term. These will be published here in due course.

PA Events in 2016

These included a Summer and Christmas fair, several children’s discos, a Burns Ceidlah night, a quiz night.

Events in 2017

We recently ran a Burns Night Ceidlah in February which was attended by nearly 100 parents and raised £1200 profit for PA funds. This money is paying for the annual sponsorship of ‘Blues News’ (the school’s in house newspaper) and partly funding the Expresso IT programme
